Fast Plants® : Build a Learning Resource
Build a Learning Resource is a web-based interface that allows you to search and select Fast Plant materials and construct your own learning resource to print and use with your students.

Fast Plant® Activities

Teachers and learners use Fast Plants® in classrooms from kindergarten through college and beyond. Learners of all ages can explore a wide variety of questions with Fast Plants® and learn by engaging in genuine scientific inquiry.

Learners find the excitement of growing a real, living plant is irresistible. Fast Plants® change visibly every single day, right in front of your eyes. In two short weeks, the tiny seeds will sprout, grow, and bloom. In just over a month, learners can plant seeds, tend plants, pollinate flowers, and harvest new seeds.

A kit for a class of 32 students, containing the seeds and planting materials is also available for this activity. Alternatively, you can grow seeds from a packet of Standard Wisconsin Fast Plants® seeds (or seeds from Fast Plants you grow yourself) and your own potting mix and growing system. Download this 32-page booklet, containing complete instructions for activities at each life cycle stage. The booklet also includes important background information about plant physiology and how to grow Fast Plants®.

A Growth, Development and Reproduction kit is available. You can also conduct all the investigations explained in the booklet using seeds from a packet of Standard Wisconsin Fast Plants® seeds (or seeds from Fast Plants you grow yourself) and your own potting mix and growing system.
